    Guidance: Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (ideally at least a grade 4 in Creative iMedia or Film Studies)

    Course description:

    The Cambridge Technicals in Digital Media helps students develop the knowledge and practical skills required in the digital media industry. Students gain hands-on experience of the production process, developing their ideas from planning, through editing and post-production, to final presentation.

    - UNIT 1: MEDIA PRODUCTS & AUDIENCES (EXAM) - 90 GLH 

    - UNIT 2: PRE-PRODUCTION & PLANNING (EXAM) - 90 GLH 

    INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

    - UNIT 3: CREATE A MEDIA PRODUCT - 60 GLH 

     

    OPTIONAL UNITS THAT WILL BE COVERED

    - UNIT 6 - SOCIAL MEDIA & GLOBALISATION - 60 GLH  

    - UNIT 20 - ADVERTISING MEDIA - 60 GLH 

    - UNIT 23 - CREATE A PERSONAL MEDIA PROFILE - 30 GLH

    Assessment:

    Assessment is in the form of examined units and coursework units.

    What can I do with this qualification?

    You will be able to enter the workplace with a technical qualification showing you have the ability to overcome a range of challenges. If further education is your option this course leads onto a range of degrees from IT, Digital Media, Designer, Games Developer, Animator, App Developer and Web Developer/Designer and Computer Science.
