We use a range of online applications to supplement our delivery in the classroom. For communications, information and independent learning we use the Bromcom apps of Student Portal and My Child At School. For details on the other apps we use, please scroll down and select the appropriate page.

To help you get your bearings, here is a quick overview of the main apps and systems we use:

• MCAS (My Child at School): For parents and carers to check attendance and book trips or clubs.
• ClassCharts: For both parents/carers and students to track timetables, behaviour, and achievements.
• Google Classroom: For students to access lesson resources and submit work.
• Google Mail: For students to communicate directly with their teachers when needed.

A note on log-ins: During their Digital Studies lessons, all students will log into their Windows credentials, which automatically syncs and updates their Google access. Some students may complete this step earlier with other subject teachers. Once this initial setup is complete, that single log-in will grant them access to school computers, Google Classroom, ClassCharts, Sparx Maths/Reader, and associated apps.

 

Students

Students at Sackville will receive all homework through ClassCharts.

On ClassCharts you can see:

2. Your homework

3. Your attendance

4. Your behaviour and achievement points

In addition to ClassCharts, we would advise you to download the Google Mail app on your device and sign into your school email account. This will allow easy communication with your teacher and a direct way to receive notifications from Google Classroom, ClassCharts, and other school updates.

Parents

Your son/daughter will receive all homework through ClassCharts. Whilst this may direct them to other services such as Educake, Seneca, Carousel, Maths Watch etc there will be no expectation for students to see that they have homework on any other platform than ClassCharts. 

You have a different app, you have MCAS (My Child at School) and it is your hub of data about your child at Sackville. 

On the MCAS App you can see:
